Re: Hardline Cop Patch Design Contest Results??

Hello @BENBOBBY

We have no control over any of that, so it will have to be passed along to the higher ups. It usually takes 2 weeks+ for an email to even be read due to the mass amounts of them sent to EA, so that may be why they haven't responded.

I apologize for the inconveniences.

  • @Apollo_v7 Thanks for the reply. I sent my first email to them on the 11th May 2015, so they have already had over 4 weeks to respond. Plus they should have publicly announced it on the 4th May anyway without needing to be prompted. I cant believe a large company like EA can run a competition so badly and be so utterly unreliable.

Has EA_David actually been in contact with the runners of the competition or is he just guessing? If he has, then surely he can just ask them for a list of winning players along with a copy of the winning design and details of when the new patches will be featured in the game. If he hasnt contacted them directly then how does he know or is he just speculating to keep me quiet.

Thank you for passing it along, I hope you can finally get some sense out of them soon...

David works for EA, and this was taken from previous occasions where similar events had happened. As said before, the winners of the competition have already been contacted.

It is currently unknown when the winners will be publicly announced, but it will be passed on.

  • So from that I take it David hasn't actually contacted the organisers of the competition then and is just making assumptions? If he has spoken to them, why cant he/anyone simply provide me with a copy of the winning design and the names of the three players who won, as explicitly stated in the guidelines of the competition. How do you know for certain the winners of the competition have already been contacted, who do you work for or are you just guessing too?

EA ran a competition, the winners were supposed to be announced on the 4th May 2015, yet over a month later there is no indication of the winners or the winning design. So I am just requesting simple information about the results. I really didnt think it would be this difficult. Frankly it makes me quite sceptical.

It seems like it would be fraudulent to run a competition, go against the guidelines and then hide the results from anyone who asks. If that were the case companies could create fake competitions all the time and never give any prizes away. There must be laws in place to prevent scenarios like this and must be a legal requirement to provide the results.

So again, I kindly request the player names of the winners and to see a copy of the design that won and will be featured in game. I dont wish to sound rude but I want concrete answers not vague speculation.

    Thanks.

  • I've seen competitions delayed ALL the time in all aspects of life. For many reasons too.  In this case, it could be that the contest was more popular than they believed and it caused a delay in choosing and preparing a statement for the public to see.  It could also be that they planned on giving the winners a more glorious announcement than a simple congrats in the Battlelog forums so they have kept it under wraps until then.

Whatever it may be, just be patient!  It's just an art contest for a video game, I'm sure there will be more for you to join in on.  :manhappy:

  • According to David the winners have apparently already been chosen and notified so that nullifies that arguement. So I simply want to know the names of the winners. Also why have they not answered my emails to say that then. I dont want to be rude but again its just more speculation that isnt really very helpful.

Also I have been patient - the contest finished on April 22, 2015. A few days delay I could understand, not weeks and weeks. Judging from the response on Battlelog no one cared about the competition and only saw one entry posted.

No one knows the winners, half the teams at DICE don't know the winners since it would be run by only a very small handful of people, saying this, many people applied so who says your artwork was the greatest and won the competition in the first place, if you won. They would have reached out to you.
