Re: How do I forward port 443 on TCP?

www.portforward.com

Has guides on exactly how to do it (and the exact ports to forward for BF4,) as the method to so differs depending on your router. I recommend using the port check tool that's there under "Free Software to test if your ports are forwarded" to test if port 443 is open.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you use Skype regularly, make sure you have "use port 80 and 443 as alternatives" unchecked. You can find this under tools>options>advanced>connections.

Here is another guide to check and see what programs are using which ports:

(Of course, that guide applies to Windows 7 and may differ depending on which OS you are actually running.)

  • That website is useless, as has been Customer Support on the subject. They refused to help. They told me to check that site, which offers nothing but an image and no help at all, and Support also told me to contact Netgear Support which wants to charge me to forward one port, since live chat doesn't work. I actually just tinkered with my settings and forwarded it on my own. I couldn't create a port because it conflicted, but I could edit another port and change it, then just add that port back after. I solved my own issue.
