I actually quite like the circle and dot variations, but yeah would be nicer if they could be brightened up to be more similar with what you get with other BF titles but oh well.
@eI-nombre in other BF titles (assuming you refer to BF3, BF4 and/or Hardline), you have modern day weapons using optical sights that are electronically powered. A modern red dot sight would use a LED and a Holo sight would use a laser to project the recticle in the sight. A 100 years ago during World War 1 this did not yet exist of course and optics would be made of optical glass with the recticle (whatever shape it might have been) painted on the glass. So for the sake of historical accuracy I guess the decision was taken to not make the red dot adjustable.

Hey @eI-nombre,
I'm with @RanzigeRidder2 on this one - since the dot is painted on the actual glass, it would be hard to adjust the opacity. I couldn't find an option at first glance to adjust this in the menus, with only the total brightness having an effect on this.
