Re: Issues with using headset in game, as well as problems creating squads.

Hi there!

In Battlefield 3, to mute other players open the in-game menu, select 'Team & Squad' and change 'VoIP' to 'OFF'.

This will prevent voice communication to and from your own team and squad. Setting this option to 'Team' will allow voice communication between your own team (including squad), setting this option to 'Squad' prevents communication between your team, but allows communication between your own squad.

Your "Can't-set-Squad-to-Private" issue, seems to be temporarily. Try to quit the game or start a new squad and it should work.

Let us know if you need further assistance. :robotwink:

- Sincerely, Timmie.

If I turn off VoIP then I can't hear the other members of my squad, and sometimes I want to mute just one member of th squad because they are yelling into the headset, there is a toggle mute option but it doesn't seem to work for anyone. Also I have tried to quit the game and come back in but I still can't create a private squad, is there a way I can uninstall all associated files to battlefield and then reinstall? Maybe a file isnt working right

There is a toggle mute function under the squad section, but it doesn't seem to work, is there a way I can uninstall all the bf3 files from my playstation and reinstall them? Or does the toggle mute feature not work at all? I should be able to mute just one player not the whole squad or team. Also I seem to be picking up other peoples headsets that are not in my squad, I don't want to turn the VoIP function off, just want to be able to mute a player and not pick up other headsets. I'm using a playstation Bluetooth headset, if that helps any.
