I couldn't find a ps4 console for purchase until, coincidentally, march 28th and the shelf had at least a dozen available. I checked every store multiple times with no success.
Like everyone else, I was concerned about the code expiration date looming over me. I read a post regarding the expiration of this code. The person said that as long as it was redeemed under your account before the cut off, I'd be fine. So I entered the code on the ps3 system prior to the expiration. It said the price was $0.00 but was accepted.
Now March 28 rolls around. Its just after 8:00pm central time and I go to download the ps4 upgrade. NOTHING. It said that either the code was already used or expired.
Like gift cards, these things should not have an expiration date. Its just another cash grab that big biz does to screw over the hard working HONEST PERSON when they have to spend extra money to re purchase the product. Life happens and not all people will be able to redeem these codes on time.
It would be a shame if someone sought legal council and launched a class action suit regarding this matter. Lets be proactive about this and not reactive.
