Re: origin needs to download files and is waiting for your permissions.please choose yes

cant find the notification bar xD *having a brainfart* yeah i tryed to download the sims 4 create a sim demo and it kept saying origin is downloading files and blah blah blah. so idk what to do because my brainfarts wont let me figure you suggestion of help right ^^

Thanks for the suggestion Kashabuya. I've tried all sorts of remedies from people's posts on this and I tried yours too, but it's still not allowing me to download. I put the slider all the way up and still it just failed without anything coming up to ask me for permission. Gah - I wish there was some solution...

I dont have a slider just tick boxes and they are all ticked, im having no look. ight just download the ones i can on steam

Thank you Kashabuya, this actually worked. 

Problems like these are what make Origin inferior to Steam. If EA just got rid of Origin and put their stuff on Steam, which is a developed and working application made by a trusted company, it would save everyone a lot of hassle.

Tried this and it still didn't work. I've restarted my computer, installed and uninstalled. Turned the UAC up and then down and nothing is working. 

its not working for me ☹️ other advices ?

i want to install starwars battlefront but i always get the origin massage.

Im having the same problem. but i really have no idea what your trying to explain. when i try uninstall origin i cant find where to uninstall it Help please???

Hey @JaceShepard, 

you can uninstall Origin just like you would uninstall any other program. 
Depending on your operating system you go to programs & services and just uninstall Origin from there.

I've uninstalled and installed, changed uac settings, run as administrator... nothing works, still same message. 

i tried that and only got one UAC message and it still didn't work

I've tried many times to re-install with UAC at the highest but it doesn't work any other solutions?
btw I've tried to run it as an administrator but it doesn't wok then either!

Havign the same problem and none of these fixes work. I've been fighting with it for 12 hours.

Install Origin onto a different computer, put the files into a hard drive then transfer those files onto your computer

For all who have trouble with the permission prompt...I've a found a solution from reddit poster YoloMcSwagginJR

- Press the Windowsbutton + R

- type in services.msc

- search for the Origin Client Service and right click to open properties

- set startup type to disabled

All I needed to do was to restart origin. Et voilà!

Oh thank f***. This problem was driving me nuts, but disabling the Origin Client Service works!
