I keep getting this error. Wich results in me having to exit BF1 and restart it. It has happened in all game modes and server sizes.

Latest Nvidia WHQL 376.33 drivers are installed after using DDU. Tried the latest hotfix 376.60 too, didn't work. I reinstalled the GPU after DDU.

Attached is my dxdiag.txt, user.cfg and Log file.

Actions taken by my side after reading reddit/answers HQ/etc:

  • Bios:
    • EIST disabled
    • Turbo enabled
    • Hypertreading enabled
    • Powersurge disabled
    • Performance mode enabled
  • Game settings:
    • Vsync played with dis- and enabled
    • Tried settings between low-ultra
    • GPU restriction played with dis- and enabled
  • After using the cmd prompt perfoverlay.drawgraph i noticed CPU spikes and unparked CPU cores and played with and without User config (att)
  • gametime.MaxVariablefps 60
    PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1
    renderdevice.renderaheadlimit 0
    Thread.ProcessorCount 16
    thread.maxprocessorcount 16
    thread.minfreeprocessorcount 0
    RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
  • In nvidea set priority to performance
  • Changed window power options to perfomance

Till last week i played BF1 with an ASUS matrix GTX 580 1,5 GB.

Is it an nvidea thing or an windows error cause i enjoy the game and would love to play again with my 780

There are a couple of things that I'd start off with, first run windows update to make sure everything's completely up to date.  Next I'd run Origin as an admin and then right click the BF1 icon in Origin and select repair.  After the repair finishes try playing BF1.

If that doesn't work run the Win7 windows error checker to see if there's a problem with your Windows installation (based on your title my bet is the issue is OS related) as shown here:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files

Hello Ty so much for your reply.

I ran the SFC. The scan says there are a couple of files that can't be repaired. EA instructed me to reinstall Origin and BF1 and after that my Nvidea drivers again. So i start with that again.

Would upgrading to windows 8 do some good?

Ok, reinstalling drivers and repairing BF1 didn't work out.

So i did the SFC scan again. Plenty of errors. Couldn't find a specific one that could be linked to the OS?

    SFC details in the att.

Perhaps reinstal windows 7 or upgrading to 8?

Same here, game is playable for maybe 1 round. I have been dealing with this since I first bought. EA support cases opened with all the same advice clean install, repair, etc. and some of the forum suggestions and nothing helps.

EA, wants my money they need to fix I believe this is not isolated but systemic issue.

Ok sorry for the late reply. I crashed my OS trying to reinstall to windows 7. I made an upgrade to 10. Downloading BF1. Hoping this is the fix.

Ok after a windows 10 upgrade still no fix. Searched IRL help by a local computerstore. It turned out to be a RAM issue i was playing wit a 4x4 gig RAM set up. The guy removed 2x4 and problem solved.
