Re: Platoon Short will not Change

Hi @ShadowLawist ,

A couple of things that may cause this error situation for you:

The Battlelog Companion App does no longer connect as it originally did.  So if you are using that still today, then your soldier clan and emblem etc will not change on your real-world soldier in BF4.  So if you use the Battlelog Companion App, then you will need instead to use the EA 'original'  Battlelog.com instead for this.

Second trouble in this area is the long delayed synchronization between Battlelog and the central Battelog control servers, which forwards this information to the servers when you log on.  This does typically take 36-48 hours or more from getting through to all entities in the global network.  So some patience is usually required, as the time from you make the time on your soldier in Battlelog until you see it in effect on your solider in the game can be quite long.

Third trouble in this area is that here after the last few updates/redcutions of Battlelog functionality that EA/DICE have implemented in last 2-3 years also means that if you e.g. want to remove a clan tag from your soldier, then that does no longer work as intended.  Meaning that your soldier appear to keep retaining that original clan tag that you used to be associated with in the past, despite you tried to delete it from your solider in Battlelog, even by leaving the clan all together.

It appears that the system no longer update your soldier if that update simply just leaves the clan tag empty.  So players have found a work-around by that you have to create your own clan with a new alternative emblem and then assign your soldier to this new self-owned clan group.  After this, you now have the power/access rights to go in and edit the clan tag of this new clan to remove the letters/characters you put there.  This will then overwrite your previous clan tags and bring you the result you are looking for.

So try one or more of the mentioned work-arounds here above, all depending on what situation you are in and what is relevant.

Best of luck with it!  👍
