  • My account is admin, security policies on all client executables and game executables are set to run elevated.

I really don't like Origin on my C:\ for security reasons.

Obviously windows is a fresh install, and Origin had to be installed for the registry keys to be merged.

The account having administrator rights and actually running a program with administrator rights are two different things so please try starting Origin as shown, can't hurt to try 🙂

If you have any of the games or any of the games installed in the root of a drive and not inside an extra folder like "D:/OriginGames/BF4/" or "E:/Programs/Origin/ then that can give issues. For troubleshooting you might want to try installing Origin and the games in the default locations ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 etc. ) to rule out permission issues like these.

I don't know what you mean by the registry keys being "merged".

  • Prior to the format, I exported the registry keys for Origin and all the games in the library, hence I had to "merge" them again when windows & origin were reinstalled.

However, ALL OF THE LISTED PROBLEMS ARE NOW RESOLVED.

Solution: Uninstall Origin, reinstall Origin in it's default location... Yippe-kai-yay for telemetry and data mining

FYI: This has reset all custom key mapping (including mouse mapping) and all video settings to their default values.

A Problem has arisen from this en-devour, the video settings in BF4 are now unchangeable and are stuck on low
