Re: Squad join issues PS4
@YS4Y wrote:Here again an already excist topic (Bf4 squad join issues PS4) because of an not solved thread (whats closed) and i hope for a solution!
This:
While I can create a new squad just fine and my friends can see my created squad, it does not work the other way. I cannot see my friends' squads when they create them, and thus I cannot join them. Pressing L3 to refresh the screen has no effect. It continues to tell me, "no squads with friends available," and yet my other friends can see that same squad just fine.
To illustrate my problem, let's say myself, X, Y, and Z are all playing. X will create a squad that Y and Z can see, but I cannot see that squad. The same will occur if Y creates a squad or Z creates a squad. Oddly enough, however, if I am the squad creator, X, Y, and Z can all see it and join it. Generally this just means, all the time, I must be the squad leader.
Is there already someone with knowledge to help us? Problem is still not fixed while we still playing BF4!

Hi @YS4Y ,
From based on how you describe your situation, then it sounds very much to be linked directly to how you and your friends have set up your own personal privacy settings on your PS4/PS5. As that is overruling what is possible of joining friends etc when in the BF4 game that runs on your local PlayStation. So from what you describe here, it indicate that you at least have opened up and sharing with your friends/other players your current status and activities. While the ones of your friends that you cannot see/join, have not done so.
That said, there are still some bugs left behind and logic constraints as well, which will not be fixed at this late time in the BF4 lifeline. So you will someply have to accept them and work around them. So another issue to consider is that just because you create a squad, its not like your friends by default then can join it. As there are several conditions that needs to be fulfilled before that can be possible. If a friend is not yet on the same server and in the game, then that friend will be put in the queue to join the server. And even if you are linking up as friends, that friend will be placed on either team that has the first next slot available for hi to join the game server. No matter if it is on your team side or not. Also if the server is not full, and you on your team have more players, then your friends will typically be allocated to the enemy team side, as most servers run with the default of balanced gameplay enabled.
Likewise, if you are on same team side and in the active game, then if squad is already full, then your friend cannot join your squad either. The squad leader needs first to bump another player out of the squad. So if your friends where you try and join their squads are not the squad lead or if no place available, then you will not be able to join their squads.
Now with a bit of communication/coordination between you, then it shouldn't be that hard to squad up. So when first getting into the routine, it should be quickly completed no matter what workaround you may need to use to get there. Best of luck with your squad play!
