you must use VOIP and to use it go to in game settings and change in the audio section VOIP from off to on make sore to have your mike connected and you are all good to go

I have the VOIP setting to "ON" and I still cannot talk or hear anyone via in-game chat the past week and a half (no speaker icon by my name either). I could chat in-game previously though and I don't understand what got changed. Any other suggestions? Is there a bug in the game that is disabling squad voice chat? I'm on Xbox 360.

Xbox 360. Having the same problem. No speaker next to my name. Can't hear anyone and no one can hear me. Does squad chat require premium? Voip is on. I even tried EA tech support. They said to delet/reinstall which I did. Nat set to moderate if that matters. Xbox live chat works fine as does in game GTA online. No game chat option available under chat on xbox for BF4. Please help.
