I've had the same problem from the moment I installed Windows 10.
Only way to play was to login with a new user on my pc that I created once Windows 10 as installed.
Since I was sick of doing so, I started to troubleshoot the problem again today.
With me, the proces of the BFHWebHelper.exe started when joining a server or starting campaign.
But BFH.exe never got started.
What I did, was to delete BFHWebHelper.exe from "Program files (x86)\Origin Games\BFH"-folder.
After that, the game launched normally.
BFHWebHelper.exe never got reinstalled by the game...but no idea why u need it...

Guys I wonder if you can help?
I've got the exact same problems and have just tried deleting BFHwebhelper but when I do I get a message in Battelog that my game needs to be updated in order to play.
It won't do anything else.
So I update in Origin and guess what... it re-downloads BFHWebhelper!Any idea how to solve this thing? I got the game today and haven't been able to start it at all...
Hi @Fineus-K
You need the webhelper.exe in the order to run the game. Why did u deleted? What was the problem?

Deleting it was the last thing I tried in trying to get the game to launch.
This thread mirrors my own experiences of the game simply not launching when I try and start either multiplayer or campaign modes.I've tried enabling and disabling plugin based running from Battlelog, running both Origin and/or BFH.exe as administrator, disabling firewall and antivirus (both stock Windows 10 - no AVG or anything).
None of it works.
Deleting BFHWebHelper.exe was the last ditch attempt I've made. Why? Because this very thread reports that doing so has worked for others. So now I'm stuck... the game won't run.
Incidentally BF4 and the BFOne beta demo recently released have both worked fine. Other games work fine. It's just BF Hardline. Hi @Fineus-K
Did you:
- interrupted, stopped anytime the download of the game?
- blocked bhl.exe in firewall?
I have the same problem as him, I cant remove webhelper, I get that part, but Battlefield Hardline worked for me just 1 time on single player I ran the OBS as I wanted to do a walkthrought of the game and I closed it after I was finished and it never openned again in the 1000 of tries..... I can see the game open and close in a second at the bottom in the bar, and the process is running in the manager, but the game just dosent open and on the web browser it says that it opened, I tried everything they suggested, even reinstalled game, run is at administrator and nothing really works.... Can you please fix this?

When I deleted the BFHWebHelper.exe the game would not open, said it was missing the file and asked me to restore it?
- Anonymous9 years agoThe file you deleted was necessary for the game to launch via homescreen shortcut. I deleted it then tried to launch it from the shortcut and it prompted me to reinstall the forsaid deleted file.
- Anonymous8 years agoI downloaded the game under origin and so after I deleted that file I tried launching it from the shortcut and like you said, it don't work. But it wouldn't let me launch from origin either. I don't think origin is a shortcut, because if it is, there is no original launcher or whatever on my device

I believe I found a solution
I had a problem with Fifa 15, and managed to make it work by puting the Fifa 15 game file on my Antivirus exceptions list, sooo, I did the same with BFH
And BAM! it worked
Hope it helps guys! see ya!
PS: I use Avast
I tried everything. I am running Windows 10
This worked for me.
Go to your bfh folder
On the bfh.exe
Right click on properties
Change to read/write
Ok
Change the compatibility mode to Windows 8
Run the game
Select mantel as the renderer
Close the game.
Uncheck the compatibility mode on the bfh.exe file.
Run the game.
Should work fine now.If you still have this problem, then please uninstall AVG, disabling not enough.
Hi @Arpadiusz
I am not using AVG. I have Avast.
I got the game running fine now.I tried running the game with Avast fully enabled.
It worked fine.
Hi, I wasn't able to start BFH for Month, tried, compatibility settings, antivirus and firewall settings, disabled them all, no success.
Today I tried something else and solved it for me, the stupid game has problems with the Borderless Setting, only Fullscreen and Windowed works.
I mostly play my games Borderless so I can switch fast to other programs.
First i made a backup of my BFH Profile in My Documents\BFH\settings there I opened the PROFSAVE_profile config file and edited the Fullscreen settings.to
GstRender.FullscreenEnabled 1
GstRender.FullscreenMode 0
GstRender.FullscreenScreen 0This is the Fullscreen setting in the game.
I did this so I don't lose my other video/audio settings, so I hadn't set them again, but if this doesn't matter to you, you can just delete the config file PROFSAVE_profile after you made a backup.
I hope this helps some of you.
NOTarget i tried but i dont have a profsave_profile
Hm, do you have the folder My Documents\BFH\settings, are there other files in it.
Maybe you try to backup the complete BFH folder and remove it completely, the Savegame should be in the cloud per default so your progress should be restored.
If you dont have any files in the Settings folder, I don't think my approach will help you.
- Fixed it for me! Thanks for that dude!
you are magnifique monsieur screen adjust worked for me. (changing from old saved settings to full screen via my documents)
still doesnt work for me it will start and then just crash
