I think I'm having the exact same problem. My problem seems to occur when I install Second Assault. Below are my steps for testing.
Original problem occurs 99% of the time I play. Literally, at the end of every game I have to dashboard and then quit BF4, and wait about 10 seconds to launch it again. If I don’t, I’ll hang at the black cursor between rounds, and most of the time will never see the End Of Round Details screen at all.
All tests were done with Ranked (hardcore) and official (normal) all on Conquest Large. I don’t think this matters but figured I’d include it.
Hard reset my Xb1 for the heck of it before running test
- Tried playing 4 games. Each time it hung in between map loads as expected.
- I Uninstalled China rising and Second Assault
- Played 4 games without any problems. I didn't have to quit out between any of the games.
-- For testing purposes, I played a game and verified it loaded the next map without any problems. I then quit out of bf4 to repeat the process. I did this so I wasn't sitting on the same server between each test.
- I then installed China Rising and played 4 games without having any problems between map loads.
-- At this point everything worked perfectly.
- I finally installed Second Assault and the problem showed up again.
-- I played 4 games and each time I had to dashboard and quit out.
--- Something of interest during the install of Second Assault. I also remember seeing this issue the first time I ever installed it.
---- When the install gets past the 99% mark it displays Installed Stopped. I remember reading a thread that said to hard reset the xbox and the install will then be complete on boot up. I've tried multiple downloads but this is the only way I can get the install to work.
----- I wonder if everyone has this install problem and if not, does it correlate with the hang issue?
