I may have a warm fuzzy feeling about this one......

I liked the ripping off of the dogtag. I hope they have that as an ability in the game.
And the chaos of the Tornado seemed cool to me.
The wingsuit ability has a lot of potential.

Really, really enjoyed it. Good amount of action, some humour and great nods to Only In Battlefield moments. Can't wait for the gameplay reveal 🙂
- 5 years ago@Trokey66 I can think of 1 can't tell the classes apart.
I don't care.
At least the armies appear to be green or grey. Pac v EU- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace@DingoKillr shhhhhh, don't give people ideas!
Just re watched and must have missed the beginning, almost Damevand Peak!- 5 years ago@Trokey66 Definitely a lot of nostalgic nods for long time veterans in that video, feels like DICE is finally ending thier experiments and ditching the new formula to go back to the classic formula. It worked for the Cola companies...

@Trokey66Because doubting them after the problematic games they've put out the past installments with all the other BS they've pulled, with a trailer that is entirely "engine only" with no gameplay and is basically a meme compilation of "only in BF: is whining. Let's not go from one extreme to the other.
Just because they took "only in BF" and put it in a trailer to appeal to it's actual player base vs. the stuff they've said in the past doesn't automatically mean it's going to be good. Reading what changes are put in it, seeing gameplay, testing it, seeing how buggy the beta will be close to release is being prudent instead of being "oMg BeSt TrAiLeR evar!!!!" when nothing of actual gameplay value was shown.
Let's not forget how hard BF5 regressed in technical bugs from netcode to quirks to vaulting. I'm not going to automatically assume 128 on massive maps is going to function and be the best BF ever just because of a flashy trailer. We should be prudent, we can definitely be hyped and excited, but we gotta be cautious. We've been burned before.

@huskies3 Or maybe I'm not a blind fanboy who just eats everything up. I want this game to be great but I'm not going to circle-* this as the best thing since sliced bread just because of a well made reveal trailer.
I don't under you type of people. It's not like I * showed the franchise as literally *. If I don't blindly agree it's going to be mega epic off one 5 min cinematic trailer I'm a downer. It's definitely still 2021.

@Player55nothing disappointing at all but no doubt the nay sayers will find something to whinge about.
I may have a warm fuzzy feeling about this one......I was right, the Battlefield 2042 section is awash with whinges and complaints based purely off a cinematic video!
Doesn't surprise me in the least unfortunately.

The trailer was ok but kind of all over the place and confusing with bad music. I did enjoy the Battlefield moments but I have no idea what this war is about or who's fighting in it.
Needs more backstory and better music.

@Trokey66 that's probably because 1. we all remember BF5 2. DICE claims 2042 is a love letter to longtime fans and then changes the formula with specialists and all class weapons so we're getting visuals and fan service reminiscent of earlier Battlefield titles evoking nostalgia then get something completely "un-Battlefield" too with very little other information to either assuage our fears or confirm them so people are hyped and worried at the same time.
I want the community to be brutally honest with DICE since there's still time to affect change before launch. For me personally 2042 is make or break since I've stayed on through three consecutive disappointing Battlefield games - Hardline, BF1, and BF5 so if 2042 doesn't fill that Battlefield void I'm done and will move on.

ONLY IN BATTLEFIELD *camera zooms to show 48 snipers on useful team mate rock with 3 kills and 267 deaths between all of them*
