Rented BF4 server wont start

Hi all . I have rented a BF4 server since Late December. The last 3 or 4 days the server will not take off .  Error reads " Failed to join the game as its current state does not allow for a connection. It could be loading a new map or it may have been shut down. "  Anyone else ever have this problem . I have tried the 1-866 number at different times of the day but I always get a message saying that no one is available and to try the EA help site. It seems that any support links that I click on all lead to this forum. I need to get the server reset I would guess but I have no idea how to go about it.

Any info would be great.  Cheers !

  • Hi @amarsh1964 ,

There have been global wide trouble with BF4 servers since Sunday (certainly on the PlayStation platform), where players are either not at all able to join the servers or they join, but the servers appear randomly to throw off players in larger groups during gameplay or the server crash all together and reset again and again.

The BF4 PlayStation servers based in Europe appear to be mainly back in reasonable state now again since Tuesday, but don't know about the US ones?

But as @danisoff rightfully share with you, EA are the ones you need to contact directly for support of the BF4 servers for the PlayStation platform.  And nobody here on this forum can help you with what needs to be done.  You will instead need to contact the EA Support directly for this, as the server box obviously needs a reset.  It is only for the PC BF4 servers, where the server renter should instead contact the vendor from which they rent the server hosting.  For PlayStation this is only supported by EA themselves.

You can contact EA support here:

    Best of luck with it!

  • Hello @amarsh1964,

You should contact your server provider and explain the issue. EA has nothing to with servers on PC.

  • Hi there . The server is on a Ps4 .

If I am in the wrong forum my apologies.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Hello @amarsh1964,

Personally, I'm not experienced with server renting on the PS4. The only thing I can advise you is to contact EA support, they should be able to help because this is very much in their domain.

If I'm not mistaken servers on the PS4 and directly rented from EA.

Thanks for clearing up @CyberDyme. First time seeing an issue for PS4 servers so I was not sure.

  • Thanks for the info. The server seems to have righted itself. Frustrating stuff for sure.

I will contact EA and see if they will extend my time by 4 days as that is what I lost in total.

    Thanks again.
