i know what u mean, happens on PS3 too..
but its just a glitch!
even though you server show max players of 16, it will still allow 24 players.
i think the round has to start first, then it will get updated to 24 players.
Might be differnt on PS3 but on xbox if it says 8 or 16 , only 8 or 16 can join , not 24 . i think it might be linked to the same glitch that allows Close Quarters to have 24 players and not 16
This happens every once in a while to our server as well. You just have to go in and set it to 23 (23 isn't necessary, just a different amount) players. Save again. Maybe change up your wording on the server name so you can apply the server settings. Go in to the match. Back out and check to make sure it took. Then put it back to 24 and save settings again. It is annoying, but I don't think there is any other fix than to do it manually. Some kind of glitch in the game or something.
^^ I do all that stuff regularly but it's only a short temporary fix , sometimes it lasts for a few hrs , sometimes it lasts for 1 game , today has been particularly bad , having to kick the 8 players in the room , rest the maps etc and it lasts for 2hrs , then resets it's self back to 8 or 16 players
but its showing on the server list as only 16 players and no one wants to join a 16 player game
