I have the same problem. The player count is random and change everytime I perform a refresh. The player count is false either in the ingame browser and in the battlelog browser. Joining a game is not completely random. I would like to know if everyone is affected as well.

I believe you can fix this issue by installing the Better Battlelog (BBLog) extension for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Here is a link to a guide on how to set it up:

Ugh! That whole battlelog is * invention. I don't want to use external applications to join a * server in a video game. And I don't want to fix anything for lazy * game developers. That's *. They should fix problems themselves and not let their games undone and unfixed for fans who don't like to/can't play their newer publishes.
