Servers not showing ping.

Ever since i got Battlefield 3 i have not been able to see my ping. It just shows - where my ping should be. I am really tired of this and done almost everything anyone has suggested including what EA themselves have said to do. after 2 months I have still not found a solution. This really hinders my ability to play the game because i always get kicked or banned from servers and I can never tell if i have a good connection.

I opened the suggested ports a couple weeks ago, reinstalled plugin, messed with the firewall, disabled ad block stuff, and other things i could recall if someone mentioned it.

  • Please UOTrace & ping then post results,

    To UOTrace - http://help.ea.com/uk/article/how-to-uo-trace/

To Ping EA follow these steps,

1)Press Win+R, in the box type CMD and hit enter
    2)Type into CMD 'ping easo.ea.com'
    3)Hit enter and await results.

I have already gone through that and, as usual, I am getting a 100% packet loss. Last time I was talking to EA tech support they told me to do this and after i got 100% packet loss they told me i needed to open some ports and i would be fine. Opened those ports and still was not working.

well appearently when I opened the ports it only opened port tcp 80 and 443 while still not opening all the others. Not sure whats up with that.

Yup, even when I "Open" the ports they still don't open. Is that something I need to talk to my internet service provider about?

Yes it could be a good idea. You may however first want to try and make sure that Origin and bf4 is specificly allowed through your windows firewall and whatever else software firewall you might have.
