settings folder must be deleted

BF4 has been working great up until the last few months. When joining a server the game launches and then closes. The Battlelog shows the game as running.  It is not running though. If I want ...

    Hello.

    After u delete settings of bf4 C:\Users\[User_name]\Documents\Battlefield 4\ and don't change ingame video options such as 'API graphics" - use DX11, and "Display mode" - use Full screen

This works, but it is stupid to have a borderless mode/option ofif it prevents your game from launching on the next use. >:/
