Significant fps drop gtx1080

Hi,

I normally get around 100~110 fps on 1440p with my gtx 1080, but today I tried to play and I'm getting around 70~85 fps. Last time I played was last week and it was running fine.

Thanks,

Jorge

  • Hey @jorar91,

Have you tried any of the following steps?

    1. Turn off Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher and Battlefield 1 Game Properties in Origin

    2. Check the Frame Rate Limiter settings in-game, in the Video/Graphics settings, and set it to 60 or 120, instead of unlimited.

    3. If you're using Nvidia GeForce Experience, try disabling that.

You can also try some of the PC Troubleshooting Steps:

    Thanks 🙂

What are the rest of your PC specs?  (CPU, RAM, etc).  Also, what graphics settings are you using?  Ultra, High, Med, Low, Custom?  There are some slight changes you can make that make a world of difference on your FPS.

Also, since playing last week to playing now, was there an update?  Sometimes updates will effect FPS in-game.  Sometimes it is something in the update that screwed things up and you will have to deal with it until they fix it.  Another thing I've had happen in other games is that either an update, or for no reason at all, some of my graphics settings changed and ruined my FPS.  Double check your graphics settings and make sure EVERYTHING is EXACTLY the same as it was last week.  Like above, a single graphics setting can drastically effect your FPS.
