Signing up for Origin with Hotmail.com email

I am trying to sign up with my xbox email address which is through hotmail. Everytime I try it says invalid email address. It appears to accept outlook.com and msn.com however won't work with hotmail.com email address.  Any ideas??

    Hi,

    if hotmail does not work, login to www.outlook.com with your hotmail account.

    In your settings add an "Alias" like [edit: email address removed]. Configure it

    to put e-mails in your normal inbox (it will ask you for this).

    Use the alias to register.

    I have tried that however still can't seem to get the battlelog to link up with my xbox.

    When I log into Origin it does not show any connected accounts I have started receiving battlelog updates on bf3 xbox 360 but cant seem to get anything on bf4 xbox 360

    I have a problem i cant play bf4 because of email i thing plz i need a new email kind of how to do that?
