I remember that there where discussions months ago, to implement a cool down for the slide motion, so it only can be used to get into the next hide out. I can't find any hint for a change in the official update-notes but for me it sounds exactly like this announced change. And you know what? Well done Dice! This unrealistic movement was annoying and the time was right for this change.

Yes. It is an intended nerf to stop players abusing it. Although it is quite annoying. It seems to take away all movement and is a pretty useless ability to have now. But it is intended.
Well I'm not happy to hear that. I mean this ability was in the game since release 2016. Why should they nerf it? I never heard someone complain about it on consoles. I loved this movement mechanic for risky revivings and it was a great anti camper tool...
