SPDIF (optical output) not working in Battlefield 1

I had a similar issue using my spdif headset and found that if I powered on the device while my computer was booting I would get audio, idk if that helps at all but worth a shot.

I've tried everything.

Finally just grabbed some headphones and got to play for about 2 hours last night. Great game but for a AAA title it shouldn't have these kinds of bugs.
