I like this idea because it involves bringing back commander mode and also how something like this would mean that squads are taking the orders given within the game seriously enough to carry them out. Which is why I also unfortunately do not see an idea like this working anywhere outside of servers where platoons are mostly playing. These kinds of ideas seems to be wasted in random matches in this series. I can already see a team that is struggling to maintain control of the objectives as people ignore them losing 8 players to special operations objectives that even if completed makes no impact on the match while the rest of the team is still doing nothing to maintain control of the regular objectives that are there.
This is one of the worst feelings when playing Battlefield to see your actions no matter how well your squad plays do nothing to bring the overall team closer to victory. It is the same reason why in Battlefield 1 that the behemoths typically had zero impact on the match as they were just another distraction given to a team that wasn't focused on the objective of the game mode to begin with. In a similar way the behemoth takes players away from objectives that were already being poorly contested by the team that received it.
For an idea like this to work, the people playing will have to * DICE has a system in place to motivate players to do that more than ever before. It is actually what this series needs more than anything else.
Edit: I think that anyone should be able to destroy the objective as in BF2. Respect for the chain of command should keep the other players away from that objective which is more realistic. Maybe there should be a point deduction for the squads that execute the special operations orders when they were not told to.
