Squad Join - UI will not allow me to join squad or start a squad mid-game

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The bug occurs when joining mid-way through a multi-player game and I attempted to join a squad with fellow platoon members. This error has occured a number of times, even when squads are not containing fellow platoon members.
What happens when the bug occurs? This bug has occured between the 5-7th April. When I select a quad to join and select the X button, the game attempts to add me to the squad but wont permit it. I have tried to swap sides and the same occurrence happens. The UI will also not permit me to start a new squad to allow platoon members to join. Very frustrating.
