2142, BF3, BF4 are the gems that have that 'something' that has just been missing from subsequent titles ......(I have played since BF2 and just havent't bothered with BF1 or BFV)
2142 has a very special place in my heart .....a Camp Gibraltar remake in 2042 portal would blow my mind 🙌
BF1942 with Desert Combat mod, followed closely by BF2 with Special Forces expansion.
Although, the best mode would be BF2142's Titan mode.

@22SAS-CrixUKAbsolute best? BF2 and BF2142. So many features and layers that we haven't seen since. BF2 had arguably the best map design as well. BF2142 had Titan mode...my favorite BF mode.
For modern games, BF4. It checks most of the boxes, especially map design and overall vehicle mayhem.
