The Origional Battlefield 1942

I have the original BF 1942 , never registered online , hardly ever used.

I have played it plenty of times at friends places in the past , on their computer , on their disks but now I have loaded and installed mine but the update feature refuses to work as it just sends me to a generic EA page.

Just hoping someone can shed some light on this and perhaps help out a little , Ta.
