@sosp yes, you can fly well with m&k.
Here is the difference controllers have analogue sticks like joysticks a keyboard can never have that finer turns.
Then there is the mouse v controller it is easy as limitation turning left with a stick hold and get Max turn forever with a mouse you will need to keep lifting and resetting to turn forever.
On PC controllers or joysticks on aircraft vehicles is easier because of the mouse limitation pitching up or down is the biggest restriction. This is then usually done by using keyboards along with controlling propulsion
Note: with BF I have had no problems using m&k on helicopter or tanks.
Infantry is basically the same again.
Using WASD to control propulsion and direction while a mouse to do fine tuning targeting.
Controller does not have this yet.
