Unable to bind thumb buttons to functions in Battlefield 1

Product: Battlefield 1
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug I have a fancy gaming mouse, my brand Logitech, but it applies to most mouse types: Additional buttons (like Button 4 and 5, and additional thumb buttons and the like) you are not able to bind in the keybinding menus.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to bind a function to any additional mouse buttons.
What happens when the bug occurs? No reaction from game - it does not register button pressed.

  • That's not a game issue and there's nothing they can do about it.

I also have a "fancy" Logitech mouse.

Use the Logitech Gaming Software to assign those buttons a keystroke.

Then they are usable in game.

    As it stands,if you don't assign the buttons a keystroke,they don't exist.

You CANNOT expect them to make the buttons usable because your config would break mine.

Came across this thread because I too could not assign thumbs buttons form my Logitech mouse in game. The reason I am trying to do this is because my Logitech software constantly screws up and mapped buttons do not work properly if at all in game. I constantly have to exit the software and launch it again.

    Anyone else experience this issue?
