Unable to play

I have signed up for playing battlefield play4 free,but i was not able to play.I was only able to create soldier.When the play now button is pressed ,its showing downloading and nothing happens even after an hour. Can u suggest me the ways to remedy this problem so that i could enjoy the game without any trouble.
