update 1.15 for ps3

Version 1.15 update - FAILS   operation error # (80029564)

This forbids me from accessing a game of purchase (battlefield 4 ps3) and add-ons of purchase (battlefield 4 ps3), which leads to a serious problem.

  • Well thats great! now what about us in the US? I'm still having the same problem as last night, and its getting more and more tempting to go to EA HQ and shove my bf4 disc down someones throat.

I'm interested to know why the data corruption from downloading the 1.15 update has only been occurring in the eastern US and EU?  I'm in Florida and just had to erase my ENTIRE BF4 file from my PS3 because this update file corrupted it ALL.  Would just be nice to get a direct answer from EA about this.

Oh I'll add this to the frey...It's at first a regular update not the final stand they've messed up. 3 days now every concievable fix has been applied from EA and Sony to no avail.  It'll download but on the install stops at 13-14% and comes up with the corrupt code file... Seems only the ps3 systems are having the issue as Ive been in touch with 4 platform users and no issue...

So is it a ploy to go ps4? If so xbox here i come.....

I had EXACTLY the SAME problem :-(  . And I don't even have the "Premium" stuff of Battlefield 4 nor Battlefield 3. (Can't afford it).

By the way, I have some extra info, to Electronic Arts, DICE, the forum-users here, and anyone else who wants to read this:

To all Electronic-Arts and DICE employees, supervisors, managers, Technical-Support, engineers, programmers, etc. etc. etc.:

I have tried the previously-mentioned suggestion, and have also tried each and every single one of the other suggestions mentioned in this "Answer HQ" about this exact same issue (there are several forum-posts about this same thing happening with Battlefield-4 software version 1.15). And yes I've tried using a wired connection, changing my DNS-address numbers, connecting the PS3 somewhere else (ie. the "use a different Internet provider and see if that'll help" suggestion), "rebuilding my PS3 file-system", "rebuilding my database", etc. And any combination of all of the suggestions (including the ones that I mentioned just now). None of the options worked. :-(  . Please help :-(

I live in Panama City, Republic of Panama. (I'm a U.S. citizen born & currently-living abroad (I'm an Air-Force brat, by the way)).

Internet Service Provider is "Cable & Wireless".

    PS3-model is CECHE01

I am using a "physical disc" version of the game. (a PS3 "Battlefield 4" game-disc).

A friend of mine who still lives at my old house in Orlando Florida (he has AT&T U-Verse) also has a "CECHE01"-model PS3 and a PS3-game-disc of Battlefield 4 and he has the exact same issue I have.
