Me too, two different message:
Your order could not be completed. Try again. [ref. #5800]
and We are unable to process your payment right now. Use a different payment method or try again later. [ref. #10048]
Tried another card and first time tried 12 hours ago...
You must save your billing information to your origin account first to make any new purchase in the new origin store after you save it log out and log in to origin and you will be all set to go
EDIT if you don't know how to do that go to origin press origin in the top bar scroll down then press Account Privacy after that press Payment and Shipping and then add your billing information
if this helps pleas give XP to my account thanks

Mine doesn't actually say unable to verify.
EA shows that the transaction has completed on my order history. But BF4 is not in my games list in Origin. I tried refreshing and relogging, etc. (This was about 24 hours ago BTW)
I checked my card statement and it only shows "PURCHASE PREAUTHORIZATION" for $1.00. It's also classified as a Pending Transaction on my card account (meaning they haven't actually debited the $1).
My guess is that the servers are bogged down or something and it's just taking a long time to process, but I'm just guessing.
The 1 Euro is the authorization money that is taken by the bank to verify your card and will be refunded back to you whit in 5 working days and after making your purchase you must wait 48 hours if it does not show up I that time then
For this you will need to contact Origin/EA support they will gladly help you whit this problem https://help.ea.com/en/origin go here press contact as give information press I still need help at the bottom of the page and then press start live chat and you will get a live chat whit an EA agent that will be glad to help you
if this helps pleas give XP to my account thanks

I tried your recommendation to update purchas/shipping info in origin and then relogged. After doing so, they apparently added another $1.00 PreAuthorization charge to my account.
Not sure if this forum allows external links, but I took a screenshot of my bank account detail...........

Just for clarity... there are now two 🏈 $1.00 PreAuthorization charges on my account from ORIGIN.COM EA AUSTIN TXUS.
... AND still no game in Origin.
Doesn't work either because you can't save the card when it says that;
Your request could not be processed.
We're unable to verify this credit card.
just complete and utter bollocks, tried 3 cards. Is there a number i can call? EA **bleep**ing Helpline. 🙂
Make sure your EA account address matches your card address
still didn't work?
Also tried with Paypal: We're unable to process your payment right now. Use a different payment method or try again later. [ref. #10048].
Ok then, contact support and follow this steps:
For this, you will need to contact Origin/EA support. They will gladly help you, with this problem. To contact them, see the steps below:
*Note that some players may have issues when using Internet Explorer. If this is the case, please use an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome*
Click the following link and log in: https://help.ea.com/en/
Then click on Help with a Game, and choose your game. If your game isn't listed, try entering the name on the search bar to the right. Alternately you can choose the Browse By Topic option and choose your relevant topic. If it is an account issue that doesn't require Game Advisor assistance, you can click the Manage Account button.
On the next page you will see a bunch of articles, links to community fixes, and a manuals tab for the chosen game.
If the articles aren't relevant to you, scroll to the bottom of the page, and you will get an option to Contact Us.
Click this and you will be prompted to choose your platform, the topic of your issue and to give a brief description of the issue at hand.
You will then have your options available, such as having a Live Chat with an advisor, or scheduling a callback if it is available in your region.
After this, you will get a live chat or a callback (depending on what you chosen) with an EA agent, that will be glad to help you.
If this helps, please click the white XP button and to give me some XP.
If this solves your question, click the green solution button and mark it as solution so it can help others with the same problem.
