weapons not firing

Go to origin, right click BF4 and press "Repair game" (or something in the lines of that).

Why you're having this could be because of missing files / scripts that allow your bullets to wound the enemy.

Thanks for replying. I haven't been on here in awhile so I couldn't respond back. I'm on console. PS3 to be exact. I'm still having this issue and it seems to be getting worse.It is not my controller as I have a new one. And the weird thing is, I thought it was only when I aimed at an enemy...turns out, it's only when they look at me when I'm aiming.Getting pretty fed up. Wanna call it a cheat but who knows.

Have you attempted to reinstall the game?

Thanks. I'll give that a try. It's very frustrating and I just don't get it. So if that don't work...I'm likely to throw the damn thing on the floor and jump up and down on it. I'll let you know how it turns out.

As you play on PS3, are you able to use the firing button on other games, or is this just for Battlefield 4?

just battlefield and only when the enemy is facing/aiming at me.

Have you tried to change your controller layout to a different setting to test this issue? This can be found under the pause menu as Options > Controls.

yes I have,but it's not a difference.

Okay then. In that case, you should try what @killerwhalsam has said and reinstall the game.
