What kind of server browser for BF6?

I would like to know if there is already information about the server browser in BF6. The browser in BF1 was not the best ... I still miss servers like Pistol only / sniper only and more. The game will have good graphics / mechanics , but for longer game fun we need a server browser that gives providers and users all options without search restrictions. (I didn't really play BF5, that's why I don't know the server browser there.)

  • @x--Fusi--x unfortunately we don't know anything at this point. In fact most of your requests hinge on two things 1. a good server browser that DICE doesn't try to hide to encourage the use of quick match and 2. a fully functional RSP program with good ability sets for admin. An honorable mention would be to add a filter to the server browser to see custom games.

Most of the Community would enthusiastically back both of these. Judging from the past decade RSP probably won't be available at launch but I desperately hope that it will be.

  • The server browser should show all, active games as a default.   And then give us users options to filter from there.

The BF1 server browser is terrible because it shows only vanilla games as the default.  And if you want to change the filter to see custom games, you'll need to know exactly what kind of custom game you are looking for.  So it becomes really hard to find anything but vanilla games.  And so everyone ends up playing vanilla all the time.

Just show us all the games and let us filter the results from there.

  • I think an in-game version of Battlelog would be best.

Server lists, filters, info on the score and who is in the lobby etc.

Plus a ticket counter so you know if you're joining a game which is ending.

There hasn't been any official information but I assume it will be similar to BF1 and BFV with minor tweaks here and there.

"Pistols Only" and similar servers would be a part of RSP/Community Games and you can already find those via the search bar and/or fine tuning your search parameters.

The team spent a while working to give us as many options as we now have but it could be better imo - 100% fully customized servers are the way to add longevity to the game, we all just need to find some middle ground in terms of progression and balance to make it work

And that ends BF6 before it even started .... no clan/Squad wasted time on BF1 nor BF5 for that exact reason.

A lot clan members DID buy the games but played mostly solo with no clan suppport.

There were numerous threads about it in the old forum and DICE kept stalling while nothing happened and I doubt any of us in clans will accept it

    one more time ☹️

Im not going to change subject so:

I hope it will be browser based as BF3 and BF4, the "new UI" didnt work well to me and most of my co-players and clan members use the old battlelog because we can also communicate through it.

  • I have mentioned it before, but yeah, the Battlefront II system is probably the route BF6 is going to go.
So...no server browser at all, only quickmatch.

  • I hope we could have

    1. Custom community servers (Platoons will be happy)
    2. DICE official servers (Core/Hardcore = General audience would be happy)
    3. DICE official ranked servers (With SBMM and skill ladder divisions for those who enjoys competitive gaming and finding similar skilled players in their lobbies)

    But it's just hoping.
