The game saves the info to Battlelog between each game and when the game is closed correctly.
My advice, try to have fun and don't care that much about statistics.

The problem is, you loose all your XP and level ups. It isn't simply about stats, but about game play. I keep loosing all of my upgrades so that I am repeatedly reset to private 1 with no upgrades so that I am playing without any new weapons, no defibulator, no updated sniper rifles or weapon updates and no vehicle updates. Today alone I had progressed to Lance Corporal II and then got booted after the server crashed and now I am back to square one. I could honestly care lease about my STATS right now, but I would like some weapons and equipment upgrades so that I can enjoy the game more and have some balanced play. I mean why play at all if you are going to get reset to level 1 every time you get bumbed off or quit for a a little bit for a break.
