why does bf1 need so high specs?

i was wondering why this game need so high specs?, i can run gta 5 on medium 124 fps and high 60 fps but this game my pc cant handle. is it cause of the´buildings you can destroy?

@Lajnusen Well, lots of effects, the game does look gorgeous, so yeah, no wonder that is so demanding.

Big maps, around 64 players in certain game modes, destructible terrain, quite decent physics. Just a few reasons.

Have I mentioned that the game is a blast to play in any given game mode?!

Your average framerate really depends on the resolution and graphics quality settings you use. I found the following image which gives an indication of the ballpark performance you should expect at various settings, I hope this helps:
