Why only 2 over-crowded servers for NZ?

There seems to be only 2 over-crowded servers for NZ and Auz.

Maybe this has been asked before. Maybe it's just me and I'm missing something. But not long ago I could hit 'quick match' and get thrown into all sorts of fun game types and maps. Now I end up in games all by myself. So I generally use the server browser. Now even that only gives me two over-crowded 'hardcore' servers that play the same 3 maps over and over. All the more interesting matches have no servers.

I miss the different maps and game types. Surely I'm not the only one in New Zealand that's tired of those 2 servers?

To clarify, I'm on Xbox one. I've tried different filters in the server browser but they don't make much difference. I just get 2 servers "Hardcore Heathens" and 98 in other places that are either empty or overseas so my ping's too high to play.

Do I need to buy premium content to get more options? I don't wan't to pay $50 or whatever only to find it's exactly the same.

Thanks in advance.

Quickmatch does happen to throw you in empty Servers sometimes, same thing happens to me.

But, Server Browser is your best option. If those are the only two servers you can find, unfortunately there aren't that many players occupying the other Servers.

It all depends on when you're looking to play, I imagine weekends might be a bit busier.

If you'd like to purchase Premium Pass, that's up to you. But at this point, I'm not sure if it would provide you more options with more players.

Hi @iluminatethesky, thanks for your reply. That's kind-of what I figured. I just find it hard to believe that everyone piles onto those 2 servers and there's exactly nobody on the other low-pingers for NZ and Auz. And I'd have thought there were way more than 100 people still playing Battlefield 1 across the two countries. But I guess not. There was obviously a short revival when they first made the game free on Live. Those were happy days for sure.

I looked into buying Revelations or whatever it's called, with all the extra DLC and maps. But you're right, no real point when those two servers never have those maps in rotation. And it doesn't add any single player missions unfortunately.

*sigh* I guess I'll just have to find another more popular game. Shame because I enjoy Battlefield 1. Just not so much I'll play the same maps with the same settings over and over.

    Hey @Nickoidz

I completely understand where you're coming from, I really enjoy the game as well and sometimes have a hard time finding Matches.

It's kinda unfortunate, because it's a great game. I usually play Conquest, which is one of the more popular modes, and sometimes I'm able to find Official Servers, but not as often as I'd like.

The "Revolution" Edition is great, cause it does come with everything Battlefield 1 has to Offer. But, I'm afraid there might not be that many people playing the DLC Maps and what not.

In Server Browser, under "Free Slots" and "Game Size", I would make sure all the boxes are checked. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find Official Servers still available.
