will 2042 show the damage percentage?

@mattj0078I do not think percentages have been shown previously, however whole number damage values have long been shown on the attacker's end alongside the in-game point values of that shot.
The below screenshot shows how it appeared in Battlefield 1:
I just noticed on the video that just released for the beta when he hit the tank it did not show the percentage like it does in BF4. I always use this to judge how many RPGs I need to take out the tank or in what area the rpg hits does the most damage.
Here it shows that 27% damage was done

In this case ^ , it shows that the RPG hit and applied 28 points of damage. It could be considered a percentage as well, since it is from the tank's total health pool of 100.
This feature will probably be returning in Battlefield 2042, yes.*Edit: I am not 100% sure. I was, but after thinking through it again... I will play it safe here.
