Will these system specifications run battlefield 4 on medium settings?

IGPU: Intel iris xe graphics

Ram: 8gb ram

OS: windows 11

Processor: Core i7 1165g7

Compute units: 96

number of cores: 4 cores 8 threads

Vram: 128mb ( perhaps I need more ram. Laptop is dual channel compatible)

  • To scared to try actually, all I see on YouTube are Indians... I can't trust that.

Also I just saw for myself my laptop is running dual channel mode already, the issue is it is 4gb stick + plus 4gb, this means it will be significantly reduced with shared memory. I need 2 8 gb ram sticks ddr4

Tell me, from who should i update my graphics driver, intel( my graphics card manufacturer) or my laptops manufacturer (HP). Neither have bothered to awnser me, I was hoping you would know

    @CHAlVlELEOlV

For reference, here are the minimum requirements:

    Windows minimum requirements

    • OS: 32-bit
    • Processor (AMD): Athlon X2 2.8 GHz
    • Processor (Intel): Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
    • Memory: 4 GB
    • Hard Drive: 30 GB
    • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon HD 3870
    • Graphics card (NVIDIA): Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
    • Graphics memory: 512 MB

    Thanks.

  • So that is a no?, listen I'm not a tech wiz, but from what I see I can definitely run it, maybe just the ram that needs improving to provide more vram

You will be able to run it, as for performance I wouldn't have a clue how that would be, but I would assume playable.

As for your Vram, adding Ram doesn't "provide vram". Vram cannot be added, it is whatever the GPU comes with. The only way of getting more Vram is by getting a new GPU.

  • Actually no when it comes to integrated graphics cards the ram is divided in half to give whatever program that half of the rams memory. In so doing the program gets the necessary memory boost and part of that memory boost is providing more virtual memory. This is what integrated graphics do. So if I were to go dual channel mode( having two ram sticks of 8 gb each) I will have then 8gb of shared memory provided to the program that requires it, this includes a vram increase

Yes I understand that, however that is still the physical maximum the card will allow, adding ram does not increase that. I’m also pretty sure you can unlock the VRAM through BIOS, but I don’t know if that causes instability.
