Will upgrading to BF3 premium erase or reset progress from bf3 limited edition?

Background:  im looking at bf3 premium as a xmas present but dont want to lose my current stats and gear earned under bf3 limited edition.

Would putting in a bf3 premium disc and not my regular bf3 limited edition keep my stats and progress?

    You will just upgrade your existing Battlefield account with the Premium entitlement, which will give you access to all Premium content but not cause a loss of your existing soldier or progress.
