12 years agoI had the exact same issue last night. I haven't played the game in two weeks so I think I missed an update and I'm not being prompted to download it. Some extra info:
- initially when when I first tried to play I was getting errors synching with the cloud and only had the option to play offline. After googling I tried a hard shutdown of the system (hold power button for 10-15 secs to do full shutdown then power on). That resolved the cloud sync issues but then I could not join any servers without the incompatible error. Only one server appears in my server browser now and its in Australia.
- I had turned off automatically download updates in the power settings but this has been off for months and I have been prompted to download updates for BF4 and other games since.
- Turning this setting back on did not resolve the issue
