XBOX CONTROLLER FOR PC FREELOOK BUG FIX!

There is a fix for the xbox controller freelook bug on pc, when you are in a jet or heli. This worked for me.

what this bug does is activate freelook mode when you throttle down in the jet and heli, making them impossible to control.

Make sure your game is NOT running first. Open the file, PROSAVE_profile, located under C:\users\username\My Documents\settings\Battlefield4\PROSAVE_profile, (i recomend opening it with notepad++, and make sure to make a backup copy, and put that copy on your desktop), hit ctrl+F and search for "ConceptZoom.3.button. Change the assinged number value at the end of it to "255". Make sure to do this for both the heli, and the jet. It should look like this when you are done:

GstKeyBinding.heli.ConceptZoom.3.button 255

and

GstKeyBinding.jet.ConceptZoom.3.button 255

Save the file, and test it out in the game. Please let me know if it works for you too.

If it does not work, simply replace the file with the backup copy you put on your desktop.

    This fixed it for me! Also changing it for the vehicles too stopped the bug of auto-zooming in whenever I break/reverse.

    I no longer have to play with one hand tied behind my back!😕mileysurprised:

    WOA MAN THANKS A LOT! The only thing I still can't configure is the enter/exit option. I try to make like BF3 (B Button), but nothing happens when I press it! Do you have any solution?

    So I performed the fix and I no longer go into free look upon pressing LT.  Instead, my right analog stick becomes unresponsive (I cannot roll or control pitch).  As soon as I let go of LT I immediately regain control.  What's even more strange is the fact switching to the third-person chase camera allows me to hold LT and control my jet.  

    Any ideas?

    All that work for nothing imo, the only thing i had to do is remove the free look for controller both hold and all angles in the option menu.

    I am on a pc with Windows 8. what is the path on a windows 8 system to fix this freelook problem? I am having this problem now that I have just hooked up a flightstick to bf4
