[XBOX ONE] In game chat not working with astros and chat adaptor

Hi everyone,

I stopped playing battlefield for a few months until the new dragon teeth dlc came out.  Now i am on it all the time but one thing i have noticed is that i can not hear or chat to randoms in game.  I am using an astro a40 headset and mixamp with a xbox controller mic adaptor.  Now before you say the headset, mic or adaptor is broken, they are not.  I can party chat just fine when playing BF4 and everyone can hear me and vice versa.  Also when i play another game like plants versus zombies i can talk and hear randoms just fine.  Funny thing is that if i use kinect to chat or the standard mic it works fine.  But i want to know why my setup does not work with bf4 and also tittanfall but works with other games.  Has anyone else experienced this?
