I agree that it is a silly option to have. But looking at the scraps system removing this feature would simplify things a bit too much and it would be too static. A real annoyance is when like you said click on the wrong option because of this. To avoid this and speed-up overall navigation i use the Esc. key whenever in doubt. It is no solution to the problem but opening 1500 lootboxes is also quite a mind numbing experience so its a modular thing.
