I was in the same situation
I tried various things including reinstalling the game,security soft,etc
but to no avail.
Finally, after uninstalling some software that was automatically installed by Windows update recently(MS weather app,etc), it started working again.
I don't know if it's related, but Bluetooth is also disabled.
