How are maa tearing enemy tanks up? The standard rounds dont penetrate and the doof doof options only do 8-10 dependant on angle per shot. An maa is down in three hits from any other armour.
@aztec1289 yeah that's what I thought but I watched as a team of 2 MAAs destroy other tanks on the killfeed. Then on Panzer 4 of them (not all whirlbelwinds) push the whole team back to foxtrot. Something didn't feel right about watching weak armoured tanks take on other tanks and as I type this, im on areodrome and it just took me 6 shots in a guncarrier to take out a whirlbelwind as I got 20 damage per shot....Something isn't right with these tanks
Yeah thats not right. Also i suggest aiming for hull not turret.
The new angle of attack for tanks since 5.2.2 makes those turrets pretty hard.
- @aztec1289 I was hitting the MAA in the back, sides, turret and all hits only registered a 20 damage and that was both with the HESH round and standard round from rhe Churchill guncarrier, when they spawned back in another my mate in a Valentine was getting only 14 damage per hit and this is a guy that usually goes 70+ kills a game in a tank so he knows exactly where to hit and he was pretty annoyed at how he found it easier to drop the other tiger than the MAA and while it's possible the MAA had a repairer, the low amount of damage per hit was concerning. I'm hoping this is just a glitch but considering more and more people are starting to use them in games like Devastation, Areodrome and Rotterdam, it's more than likely the damage model is incorrect and people are beginning to notice
Yeah thats not good.
Sounds like some technical glitch caused by the new angling not taking lighter armour vehicles into account.
The maas should be treated more like light armour than full tanks.
I wonder ifthe half tracks are the same?
