hello all,while i am grateful for the anticheat efforts, it seems as of today (was working yesterday) bfv will no longer let me use DS4Windows - which i use to connect a DS4 controller.if it is possible to whitelist DS4Windows, i would be so thankful. i guess my other option is buy an xbox controller, but that would be a shame. or learn keyboard and mouse, which would interfere with my chillax posture. i'm glad bf1 still works with DS4Windows. and bf2042 has native support for the playstation controllers. but please help. i was just working way up the ranks.https://imgur.com/aR4OgNA

I have the same issue. I contacted support and they reported it as a bug and they should be working on fixing it now. It doesn't work in any EA game btw not only battlefield.

a note: rewasd worked for me after some fiddling. downside is that it costs $7, upside is that is not much. the bigger pain is figuring out how to use it as the interface is pretty confusing. i think i eventually figured out how to make it emulate the xbox360 controller and turned off the keyboard remapping, but i'm not exactly sure if i can explain how i did that.

Not just BFV, BF2042 and FC24 are doing the same here.

So basically what EA did, was not implementing native controller support for anything other than XBOX controllers (X-Input) for years.This in essence forced players to rely on third party software to be able to use basic features, such as plug and play for a commonly used controller (PS4/5, Switch,..).And then they proceed to just axe these third party software with their anticheat??Talk about tone-deaf, holy.BTW: This is not only affecting BF5, but as far as I know ALL EA titles. ds4 windows is also a cheat program, and shouldn't be used.
it is up to the game developers to allow third party controller input devices.

I use a thumbstick on a hori mini ps4 controller which is programmed to be arrow keys for movement. The only way I can accomplish this is with ds4windows. I have tried other similar apps to make it work, but anticheat still won't let me play. I can't play without this thumbstick so please whitelist ds4windows or explain why it's such a problem so that I can put Battlefield games behind me and move on with my life.
Edit: I should clarify that I use a Logitech G700s mouse in my right hand and the thumb stick in my left. The thumbstick acts as the arrow keys and not analog. End of Edit.

Also, I could probably use the steam controller configuration tool except that I bought the game on Origin years ago and I'm not buying it again just to have it on steam. If you look at my account, you'll see that I've already bought it on Playstation and Origin along with BF1. I've owned most of the BF games going back to 1942, but I quit a few years ago due to rampant cheaters.

Please reconsider and whitelist ds4windows.

Hi, do you have more information on this? I have over 1000 hour of gameplay and I also suffer from nerve damage. I need ds4windows to map controls so I can play. When will this be fixed?
