Battlefield 5 crashing on startup

If you disable this software, does that have any effect? No
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Game Menu
In which game menu were you when the bug occurred? Loading screen
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? none
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) It started yesterday and is still happening today
Summarize your bug Every time I open up battlefield 5, it launches the game with the black screen and the loading icon appears in the top left like usual. But after about 5 seconds the program closes and origin appears again like nothing ever happend
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am not sure what caused the bug
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes about 5 seconds after startup
What should be happening instead? The game should launch into the loading screen with the character and there should be music

When it all started it wouldn't launch at all. It only started opening when I revised the PROFSAVE_profile file. After I revised that the game launched, but crashes after about 5 seconds.

    Thanks for following up!

Can you try one more thing for me? What happens if you create a new admin user account in Windows and use that to launch BFV? Is it still crashing as soon as you try launching the game?

  • I fixed the problem with battlefield 5. my pc still crashes like a son of a * but the battlefield problem is fixed. I wiped my whole drive and reinstalled everything. It works now.

  • @EA_Kent tried, didn't work. Sorry.
Diagnostic tests couldn't pinpoint the problem so far, but it's quite definitely a problem in GPU memory.
Battlefield runs fine in an older GPU, so I'M RMA the new gpu.
  • Hi @AltitudePilot To solve the problem of the black screen, enter the documents, then the game file, delete the (twinkle) file, and then start the game

    @BlueClipp

Thanks for following up on this. I know that having to RMA your hardware can be an ordeal, but hopefully you can get a replacement soon. 👍
