Battlefield 5 don't launch

Hello There !

I'm having a problem launching BF V, no problem during installation but once I want to play, I launch the game, the start-up screen appears and 1 or 2 minutes later it closes and I go back to the EA games library.

I put a video recording of the problem : https://we.tl/t-6T0ljiIgYq

I've already tried uninstalling the game, restarting my PC, clearing the EA cache and launching EA in admin mode, but nothing's worked yet.

If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks and have a nice day!

  • Hello @InfintyWarz,

    You should try the following.

    1. Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can often cause compatibility issues with games. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA or AMD) and download the latest drivers for your specific graphics card model.

    2. Verify Game Files: Sometimes game files can get corrupted during installation or updates. Verify the integrity of Battlefield V's game files through the EA Games library. Here’s how you can do it:

      • Open the EA Games library.
      • Right-click on Battlefield V and select "Repair" or "Verify Game Files" option.
    3. Disable Background Applications: Other running applications or background processes might interfere with the game. Try closing unnecessary programs before launching Battlefield V. You can also try launching the game in a clean boot environment to see if any third-party applications are causing conflicts.

    4. Check for System Updates: Ensure that your operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, system updates can resolve compatibility issues with games.

    5. Run the Game as Administrator: Although you mentioned trying this, it's worth ensuring you have full administrative privileges. Right-click on the game's shortcut or executable and select "Run as administrator".

    6. Check Antivirus/Firewall Settings: Antivirus software or firewall settings might be blocking Battlefield V from launching or connecting to servers properly. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus or adding Battlefield V to its exception list.

    7. Monitor System Resources: Use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to monitor your system's CPU, GPU, and memory usage while launching Battlefield V. Ensure no resource is maxed out or unusually high, which could indicate a hardware bottleneck.

    8. DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributables: Make sure DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributables are up to date. These components are crucial for running games smoothly. You can download the latest versions from Microsoft's official website.

    9. Check Event Viewer for Errors: Sometimes, Windows Event Viewer can provide more detailed error messages related to the game crashing. Look for any error logs around the time Battlefield V crashes to pinpoint potential causes.

    10. Contact EA Support: If none of the above solutions work, it may be a more specific issue related to your hardware configuration or a known bug. Contact EA Support with details about your problem, including any error messages or logs you've gathered, for further assistance.

Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue. If you have any more questions or if the problem persists, feel free to ask!

    Best regards,

    danisoff

I've tried all these solutions but unfortunately the problem persists...

I'm going to contact EA support again in the hope of getting an answer this time...
