Battlefield 5 sniper class M3 infra-red scope Crashes Game

I have exactly the same problem. The moment I try to use the scope, the game crashes and brings me back to the desktop.

Not having this problem with other weapons, only the M3 Infrared.

Running other hardware, so it seems not to be hardware related. I do have an AMD CPU, but a Ryzen 5 3600.
